I love working and collaborating with people. Romain has shared this great page and in this spirit I also want to share a few caveats that you will find while working with me.

• I communicate via eMail! I normally do all my mail on a workday so if you want something from me eMail is the best way. I use chat for social interactions but messages might not be read or answered.
• I don't work on weekends or holidays. If you need something urgent you need to call me.
• I work with todo lists. An eMail is a todo otherwise I use https://meerato.com. If it is not a todo I will probably not do/remember it.
• I am a father first. It will happen that I will not get things done or will have to move things because there is something with my small kids. I will always prioritize this.
• I have a very wide breadth of things I do. I build houses, I run quite a sizable farm, I am active in nature preservation. For this to work I try to plan things in detail.
• I have some form of ADHD/ADD. This is my super power, but makes me sometimes flip flop around ideas and be perceived as erratic. But only with this can I do all the things I do. Feel free to pull me back on topic if you feel I am wandering off topic.
• I believe open source to be the better system. From very early on I believe that open and free code is the better idea, for us as a society.
• I fundamentally believe that all humans are equal and that all types of discrimination are bad. Everyone should be able to choose who they want to be. I try to be very aware of the role I hold as a white European cis male and what this means. This is a journey and I try to be better at this reflection every day. But just because I was born in the UK, the way I was, does not mean I should have a better life than someone born somewhere else. (Big topic) If you don't believe in this we will have a problem down the line at some point.
• Be on time. I plan my day on 15 min intervals so if you are late I cannot add time to the end of the meeting. Also all our time is limited so please try not to waste mine. Things can always happen, just drop me a short message and I can then plan.
• I believe that we need a livable planet with biodiversity and an intact environment. I try to minimize my impact and actively work on reducing these.
• I am not a quick thinker. I often need time to think about things in more detail and hear different voices on topics to come up with my own opinion. If you want some opinion from me, best is to send me an email and I will then research and come up with a theory.
• I normally don't spell check things. I was never very good at spelling and in my day to day life accept that I will misspell.
• I am quite brief in communication. When communicating digitally I often don't add pleasantries as I work off quite a load. This is only due to time and not me being angry or something. I will communicate very clearly when I am not happy. My default is that I am very happy with a lot of things but just have a lot of work to do.
